Ms.
Debbie A. Simon is the founder and principal of Simon Financial, a financial
valuation and advisory firm. Prior to 2003, she was a Senior Vice President
and shareholder of Houlihan Lokey Howard & Zukin. Since joining Houlihan
Lokey in 1995, Ms. Simon has specialized in performing valuations of both
privately held and publicly traded companies as well as intangible assets
for a wide variety of purposes including financial reporting purposes, tax
reporting purposes, transactions, IPO planning, litigation, stock and stock
option grants, recapitalizations, gift and estate tax planning, ESOP updates
and general corporate planning purposes. She also has a broad range of experience
in capital market transactions and is qualified as a valuation expert in
U.S. Bankruptcy Court. Prior to joining Houlihan Lokey, Ms. Simon was at Bear, Stearns & Co. in New
York, where she was involved with merger and acquisition transactions and
structuring and executing public and private offerings of various debt and
equity securities.
Ms. Simon has
appeared as a speaker at numerous business seminars on topics involving
financial valuation, valuation of intellectual property, mergers and acquisitions,
and maximizing shareholder wealth.
Ms.
Simon earned her B.A. in Economics with honors from the University of
California at Berkeley and an M.B.A. in Finance and Accounting from the
John E. Anderson Graduate School of Management at the University of California
at Los Angeles. She is licensed with the Securities Exchange Commission
as a registered general securities representative (NASD Series #7 and
Series #63).
Andrea Chasek
has specialized in performing financial valuations since 2000. Ms Chasek
joined Simon Financial, Inc. in 2004, after 4 years as a valuation professional
at the international investment bank and financial advisory firm of Houlihan
Lokey Howard & Zukin. Ms. Chasek has extensive experience in performing
valuations of both privately held and publicly traded companies as well
as intangible assets for a wide variety of purposes including financial
reporting, tax reporting, mergers and acquisitions, fairness opinions,
IPO planning, stock and stock option grants, gift and estate tax planning,
ESOP updates and general corporate planning purposes.
Prior to business school, Ms.
Chasek worked for a non-profit organization in Washington D.C., where
she valued proposed technology projects and managed U.S.A.I.D. financing
for American companies pursuing environmental technology transfer projects
in Asia. Ms. Chasek earned her B.A. in Political Science from the University
of California at San Diego and an M.B.A in Finance from the University
of Southern California, Marshall School of Business.
Dana Mischel Levin has over 15 years of experience providing financial expertise for business valuations, purchase price allocations, intangible property valuations, business planning, mergers & acquisitions and litigation consulting. Prior to joining Simon Financial, Ms. Levin was a Senior Consultant at Arthur Consulting Group, where she performed valuations in a variety of industries including telecommunications, manufacturing, energy, oil and gas, automobiles, retail, paper and pulp, bottles and closures, semiconductors and computers, apparel and packaged goods. She also has an expertise with valuations for the international holdings of U.S. corporations that are either wholly owned, majority owned or minority interests. Ms. Levin has previously held positions at Timpe & Darlington, Inc. and Valuation Counselors Group, where she specialized in providing a valuation and due diligence services, primarily in the industry. Ms. Levin earned her B.S. in Economics and Psychology with honors from Tufts University. She earned her M.B.A. in Finance from the University of Southern California, Marshall School of Business. Additionally, Ms. Levin holds a CFA designation.
